From 29 th October to 13 th November 2007, Lisa Asamura, Program Manager, JOICFP, was in Nicaragua to support the g Project for Strengthening Adolescent Reproductive Health in Nicaragua .h
Asamura conducted two workshops each for the project areas of Granada and Boaca, providing basic and refresher training on use of the Maggie Apron IEC/BCC too l for peer sessions by ASRH promoters.

In addition, she met with adult ARH facilitators to help them identify successful elements in using the apron, and facilitate them carrying out their activities better.

The two project sites have produced leaflets for young people to explain how to use the Maggie Apron and promote its use.

Asamura also attended Concasida 2007 in the capital Managua, which saw youth groups from Granada and Boaca perform dramas on HIV prevention.
Asamura later gave feedback and advice to the performers on the dramas delivered.
