Based on real events often observed in rural Myanmar, the picture theater "Twin Angels" is produced for advocacy and Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) in Myanmar. Through the fictional story of twin sisters, NiNi and YiYi, the picture theatre addresses safe motherhood for reducing maternal mortality, and increasing male involvement and community support for women's health.
A Picture Theater (Kami-shibai) is a story telling emotional BCC material that tells a story by flipping the pictures like a flipchart.
The picture theater is suitable for health education at the community level and trainings on RH. For those working in developed countries, it can be used for reproductive health (RH) advocacy, school and
out-of-school education, or at workshops on RH, to learn about the situation faced by millions of women in developing countries. |
