Humanitarian Response
JOICFP focuses on preparing against large scale disasters domestically and overseas, on enabling swift response when necessary. The Asia Pacific accounts for 57 percent of the global death toll from natural disasters since 1970, and JOICFP is determined to be well-prepared to provide SRHR services under crises. Disaster response is also a priority area for the Japanese government, and JOICFP is a member of NGOs’ network in Japan, the Japan Platform, who work in disaster relief. JOICFP also maintains a close relationship with the IPPF Humanitarian Hub in Bangkok.
